Hi, I’m Amanda Green
I have always had a passion for art and design. Early on I was labeled the “artsy” one of the family. Always drawing, crafting, and getting creative.
I gained a true appreciation for Interior Design when I was able to witness a friend of my Mother’s, an Interior Designer, transform my childhood home into a beautiful and functional space with simple, yet calculated changes. Watching her process unfold amazed me. The end result brought our family so much joy that I knew it was something I wanted to do for others.
After earning my bachelor’s degree in Housing and Interior Design and over 10 years of working for design firms in Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, New York City, and Dallas, TX, I founded The Green House Interiors. I have a passion for building community and creating connections. Interior design allows me to exercise this passion by connecting with my clients on a deeper level, creating a partnership built on trust. I am then able to really dig deep into their needs and create a space that allows them to truly enjoy their home, the way they'd always imagined they would!
My design philosophy is to interpret and reflect my client's personal style preferences and values. I find it important that a design speaks to the client on a very personal level. Having the opportunity to work at design firms that specialized in traditional styles, in addition to firms that focused on modern styles has allowed me to be skilled working with many different design styles. I am able to seamlessly blend the two or lean in one direction depending on my client's preference.
When not obsessing over my design projects, you can find me spending time with my Videographer Husband, two boys and our mini doodle, Maverick.
